Successful Training Programme in Bwari Area Council, Abuja.

On 18 June 2026, the Inclusive Skills Development Initiative (ISDI) continued the implementation of its Laptop and Mobile Phone Repair Training Programme for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The training is currently ongoing and continues to make a significant impact on the lives of participants.

ISDI Launches Laptop and Phone Repair Training Programme for Persons with Disabilities Across FCT

The Inclusive Skills Development Initiative (ISDI) has officially launched its flagship Laptop and Phone Repair Training Programme for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

This transformative initiative is designed to equip participants with practical, in-demand technical skills in mobile phone and laptop repairs, empowering them to build sustainable livelihoods, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to economic development.

The training programme is being implemented across four Area Councils of the FCT:

Over 30 dedicated special needs and inclusive education teachers from five FCT schools came together at Junior Secondary School Pasali, Kuje, for a transformative 2-Day Training of Trainers Workshop (25–26 March 2026) proudly supported by UNESCO 

The mission? Equipping educators with the knowledge and confidence to deliver National Family Life and HIV Education (NFLHE) Curriculum in a truly inclusive way — with a strong focus on sensitive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) topics for young people with disabilities.

Empowering Women with Disabilities: ISDI’s Tailoring Triumph

In November 2023, the Inclusive Skills Development Initiative (ISDI) embarked on an ambitious journey to transform the lives of women with disabilities. Partnering with the Advocacy for Women with Disabilities Initiative (AWWDI) and backed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), ISDI launched a 5-month Skills Empowerment Project that would culminate in a triumphant graduation in April 2024.
