ISDI is a Beacon of Hope

We foster a resilient environment where women and girls with disabilities embody strength and inclusivity as a way of life.

Who Are We?

Inclusive Skills Development Initiatives (ISDI) is a non-governmental organization that empowers the vulnerable of the society, especially women and girls with disabilities and victims of sexual and gender based violence, through productive, open and dynamic entrepreneurial skill trainings and programmes. ISDI believes that human capital, which consists of the knowledge, skills, and health that people accumulate over their lives, is a central driver of sustainable growth and poverty reduction.

ISDI works with the government, ILOs, CSOs, foreign and local donor agencies to create jobs, improve quality of life, and promote social cohesion for its target beneficiaries. ISDI also advocates for better legislations and policy implementation that address inclusion in politics and governance, employment discrimination, inaccessible work and living environment and gender-based violence. ISDI’s vision is to create a society where everyone has equal opportunities to realize their potential as productive members of society.

Our Vision

To create an inclusive and equitable environment where women and girls with disabilities can unlock their potential and realize their dreams. We strive to be a catalyst in the dissemination of knowledge, skills, and resources that can empower women and girls with disabilities to access economic opportunities and become agents of change in their own lives and in their communities. We are committed to creating a world where Persons with disabilities can lead meaningful, prosperous lives.

Our Mission

The Inclusive Skills Development Initiative strives to create a world where women and girls with disabilities can access the same economic opportunities as the general population. We envision a world where women and girls with disabilities can achieve their full potential, are respected and included in the workforce, and participate in the economic life of their communities.
