Our team, led by Executive Director Mrs. Angelina Ugben, paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja.

We're committed to advancing inclusive education and health initiatives for young people with disabilities in Nigerian schools. Our discussion with Dr. Olubanke Folake Olatunji David, Director of the Department, focused on strengthening collaboration and seeking technical guidance to support our work.

The United Nations Nigeria, in collaboration with the United Nations Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD) led by UNESCO, is hosting a 4-day National Multi-Stakeholder Capacity Building Workshop on Disability Inclusion.

During the just concluded 2nd National Organizational Development Summit held between June 21st and 22nd at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel. It was a fruitful event by USAID, Palladium, SCALE and Fordfoundation.

During a courtesy visit yesterday to the Country Deputy Director of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The visit was an enriching experience that  left an indelible impression on our team.

The (UN) Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) which aims to achieve sustainable and trasformative progress on Disability Inclusion, hosted Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) for a consultation process to discuss issues, challenges  and the way forward for a better and more impactful inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Top UN Management was present, including the  UN Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator a.i. Matthias Schmale.

Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Inclusive Skills Development Initiative (ISDI) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on September 12, 2023 to establish a framework for collaboration between ISDI and NHRC in the design and implementation of programs that seek to advance the rights of women and girls with disabilities.
