Empowering Girls and Women with Disabilities: A Celebration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day at JSS Piwoyi, Abuja, Nigeria.

On May 28th, 2024, Network of Women with Disabilities In collaboration with African Jewels Development Initiative In partnership with Community Creative Center for Women and Girls with Disabilities, Inclusive Skills Development Initiative, The Champions Route Foundation, Ocheawodi Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia and Cedar Seed Foundation and support from Defense and Police Officers’ Wives Association, 

Maryam Babangida Center for Women Development and Maden Healthcare Foundation  organized a project themed:

Empowering Girls and Women with Disabilities: A Celebration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day at JSS Piwoyi, Abuja, Nigeria with in attendance of 200 girls, 25 women with disabilities.

The event aimed to empower girls and women with disabilities by raising awareness about menstrual hygiene management (MHM) and fostering a safe and open space for discussion. Also, commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day at JSS Piwoyi, by donating over 200 sanitary pads and panty liners.
